Endonasal Cranial Correction
A Specialist Technique Within Advanced BioStructural Correction™
At New Body Clinic in Beaconsfield, we offer ABC™ Endonasal Cranial Correction, a specialist technique involving the controlled inflation of a small balloon within the nasal passage.
Developed as part of the Advanced BioStructural Correction™ (ABC™) approach, Endonasal Cranial Correction is based on theories concerning the relationship between cranial structures, the face and the wider musculoskeletal system.
The procedure involves applying brief, controlled pressure within the nasal cavity using a specially designed inflatable device.
How Does ABC™ Endonasal Cranial Correction Work?
The technique begins with an individual assessment to establish whether the procedure is appropriate.
During the procedure, a small balloon is carefully positioned within the nasal passage and briefly inflated before being deflated and removed.
How Does Endonasal Cranial Correction Work?
The technique involves applying brief mechanical pressure within the nasal cavity using a small inflatable balloon.
The procedure generally follows several stages:
1. Initial Consultation and Assessment
Before considering the procedure, a practitioner should review your medical history, current symptoms, previous nasal or facial injuries, relevant medical conditions and any factors that may increase the risks of treatment.
2. Explanation of the Technique
The practitioner explains how the device is positioned, how inflation is performed, the sensations that may occur and the risks involved.
You should have an opportunity to ask questions and provide informed consent before proceeding.
3. Balloon-Assisted Procedure
A small balloon device is positioned within the nasal passage and briefly inflated according to the practitioner's technique.
The inflation applies pressure to the surrounding tissues and may cause temporary discomfort or a sensation of pressure.
4. Post-Procedure Review
Following the procedure, the practitioner should check for any immediate adverse effects and explain which symptoms require medical attention.
Further treatment should only be considered after reviewing the individual's circumstances, risks and available evidence.
Understanding the Cranial System
The skull is made up of multiple bones joined by fibrous joints known as sutures.
During infancy and childhood, these structures undergo important changes as the skull grows and develops.
In adults, the cranial bones form a relatively rigid protective structure around the brain.
Endonasal cranial techniques are based partly on theories that mechanical pressure within the nasal cavity can influence cranial relationships.
Although these theories form part of the technique's historical and practical background, there is currently insufficient high-quality evidence to establish that balloon-assisted endonasal procedures produce clinically meaningful cranial realignment.
Your Practitioners at New Body Clinic
Endonasal Cranial Correction is offered by two members of our team who have completed and received certification from the Advanced BioStructural Correction Endonasal Correction seminar.
Antonia Mills — Chiropractor
Antonia is a chiropractor who has undertaken additional training in the ABC™ Endonasal Correction technique.
Isla Gibb — Sports Therapist
Isla is a sports therapist who has also completed the ABC™ Endonasal Correction seminar and received certification in the technique.
Both practitioners place importance on individual assessment, explaining the procedure and ensuring patients understand the available evidence and potential risks.
